Railroad Earth emerged from the breakup of whole of New Jersey's most patent bands, From Good Homes, in by and by 2001. Later that year, with appearances at more of the major summer festivals up~ the bluegrass compass under their zone — including the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival, and High Sierra Music Festival — Railroad Earth showed that their concordance could go well beyond the globe of traditional bluegrass to incorporate folk, Celtic, jazz, and impregnability music.
